Andy Citrin Injury Attorneys welcomed Matt Shelby to the firm in April 2018. He hit the ground running as an advocate for our clients. Matt expressed his dedication best when he said, “The practice of law is not just a job for me. It is a calling. Representing victims in their fight for justice against large corporations and powerful insurance companies is my passion. It’s an honor to provide the zealous, aggressive representation my clients deserve while guiding them through an undoubtedly difficult time in their lives.”

Matt attended the University of Alabama School of Law on a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While a student, he worked for the school’s Capital Litigation Clinic, which aided in the representation of indigent criminal defendants facing the death penalty.

Earlier, as an undergraduate at Auburn University, Matt was a student assistant for the men’s basketball team. In that capacity, he was a member of Auburn’s 2003 Sweet 16 team. Matt remains an active member of the Auburn Men’s Basketball Letterman’s Club.

Matt was born and raised on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay and has deep roots in the area going back many generations. He and his wife Jennifer decided to continue his family’s tradition and raise their three children in Daphne, Alabama. Matt and his family attend Christ the King Church. In his free time, he likes to play and coach basketball, watch sports, and spend time with his family.
