Driver Fatigue Causes Truck Rollover Accident

driver fatigue causes truck rollover

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of an 18-wheeler told officers he fell asleep when he lost control of his truck on I-10 early Monday morning.

The truck accident happened a little before 1:30 a.m. in Pensacola in the eastbound lane of I-10. Florida Highway Patrol stated in a release that the vehicle veered off the road and on to the shoulder of the highway before it rolled over.

The truck driver was not injured, but was charged with Careless Driving. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Truck drivers often suffer from sleep deprivation and the disruption of normal sleep/rest cycles, therefore truck driver fatigue is a common cause of Alabama truck accidents.

It is important for truck accident victims to consult with a knowledgeable truck accident lawyer, especially if fatigue may be the cause of the wreck.
