Truck Rollover Leaves Driver in Serious Condition

The driver of a semi-trailer is in serious condition after a single-vehicle wreck this morning.

The wreck occurred on Walton County Road early this morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver, Michael Ray Curry, 45, of Defuniak Springs, Florida, was heading west when he drifted onto the north shoulder of the road.

Curry attempted to correct the vehicle but was unable to get the semitrailer off the uneven ground due to its weight. The semitrailer was carrying logs.

The truck rolled over on its right side and the vehicle caught fire.

Curry was taken by to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola where he is said to be in serious condition.

The truck sustained about $20,000 in property damage.
