Girl Killed in Head-On Collision | Mobile AL | Lawyers

December 02, 2013

A 19-year-old girl was killed in a head-on collision near Tuscaloosa, AL on Thursday, September 6, 2012. The teen was killed around 3:30 a.m. on U.S. HWY 11 when another driver lost control on the wet road and swerved into her lane. According to police, she was not wearing a seat belt and was killed instantly.

Driving without a seat belt tremendously increases the risk of serious injury or death. An online study revealed that less than 70% of Americans wear seat belts on a regular basis. If only 90% of drivers and passengers wore seat belts, it would prevent more than 5,000 deaths each year.
